Stagend is a rapidly growing player in the event industry in Switzerland and abroad. Ex Machina has recently partnered with Stagend to further accelerate its growth and expand its adoption by introducing new AI-based features, developing a mobile app for Stagend, and creating and launching the Setlist web app.
Regarding AI-powered artist search, Ex Machina is working on an artificial intelligence-based system that is currently already in the testing phase. This feature will allow event organizers to find the ideal artist more easily. The search algorithm will analyze requests to provide personalized suggestions to event organizers.
Ex Machina is also developing a mobile app for Stagend, allowing users to access the platform’s services from smartphones and tablets, which are now widely the most used devices for every operation. The app includes features such as artist search and booking, event calendar management, direct communication between organizers and artists, viewing artist profiles and portfolios, and managing payments and contracts.
As for Setlist, this platform is the result of a synergistic collaboration between Stagend and Ex Machina: Stagend provided the idea and defined the necessary features, while Ex Machina handled the technical development. Setlist is a free web app that allows artists to create and manage their setlists (which are the list of songs played during an event by musicians and DJs), simplifying the process of submitting data to SUISA, the Swiss entity for managing music copyright.
The partnership between Ex Machina and Stagend aims to further improve Setlist by expanding its features. Possible improvements include multi-user accounts, functions for organizers, and the ability to save multiple setlists, which will all be paid features.
“With Ex Machina’s support, we are introducing new features for entertainers and event organizers at an unprecedented rate. These include new mobile apps, the AI-powered matching engine, and one-click fulfillment of tax and compliance obligations,” said Marco Alberti, CEO of Stagend. This collaboration has the potential to bring significant improvements to the event management sector. It is expected to improve the experience of event organizers in finding artists, increase accessibility through the mobile app, and simplify the process of managing setlists and submitting data to SUISA for artists.
Ex Machina has the opportunity to apply its technical expertise in the entertainment sector, while Stagend can access advanced technologies that could translate into a competitive advantage in the market.
