On October 28th, employees, collaborators, and friends were invited to a padel competition,
creating a moment of sport and fun for colleagues who usually only see each other in the office, staring at a screen.
For those unfamiliar with padel, it is a team sport played in doubles on a rectangular court enclosed by glass walls and fencing. It’s a cross between tennis and squash, making the game fast, dynamic, and highly entertaining even for beginners, as the ball can bounce off the walls, making it unpredictable.
Among the participants were some already experienced padel players, such as Carlo, who, paired with Gabriele, was the star of the competition: together, they claimed the final victory in a knockout tournament, narrowly defeating Sebastiano and Simone in the final match, who lost by a whisker. For others, however, it was the first padel match of their lives: between initial awkwardness and laughter, they challenged each other on the court, discovering a sport they hadn’t known before.
The two winners were presented with bananas, accompanied by a medal, in tribute to the event’s name—Banana Padel 2025—which was a nod to the official mascot, a Minion.
The Banana Padel 2025 tournament brought together various people, creating new bonds and leaving some participants eager to play again soon, and others with a few days of muscle aches! 🙂
