Every time a patient is discharged from the hospital, doctors must retrieve information about their stay, including consultations, therapies, drug treatments, etc., to draft a letter to be sent to the general practitioner or a specialist. This is a long and repetitive process that takes valuable time away from patient care.
With Cyrano, everything changes. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence, Cyrano receives clinical data and automatically transforms it into a complete and professional discharge letter, ready for review and approval. Through versatile APIs, Cyrano can integrate with any digital health record system, adapting to the needs of different hospital departments and producing discharge letters in any language.
Cyrano is a project born from the collaboration between Ex Machina, EOC, and SUPSI and is supported by Innosuisse, the Swiss federal agency for innovation. In addition to setting rigorous standards to ensure every letter is generated accurately and consistently, Cyrano includes automated evaluation systems that will continuously refine the training of the underlying language model for discharge letter generation. The first version of Cyrano will be operational for a testing phase in some EOC departments by February 2026.
